Who’s Behind New England Wind and New England GreenStart

People’s Power & Light and Mass Energy are one organization under the corporate name of Energy Consumers Alliance of New England. We do business as Mass Energy in Massachusetts and as People’s Power & Light in Rhode Island.

People's Power & Light collaborates with many local non-profit and community organizations to spread the word . We have worked with Massachusetts’ leading social and environmental organizations such as RI Audubon, RIPIRG, Sierra Club of RI, Save the Bay, and the American Lung Association on this and a variety of other sustainable energy projects.

The Center for Ecological Technology(CET) partners with Mass Energy and PP&L to promote New England Wind Fund^SM and New England GreenStart^SM in western Massachusetts. Since 1976, CET has engaged in work that demonstrates and promotes practical, affordable, sustainable  solutions to the environmental challenges encountered in our daily activities. Their programs benefit our environment, health, economy, and community .
