Last fall, we helped Cecile Solitro, a People’s Power & Light member, sign up for a no-cost energy assessment through National Grid’s EnergyWise program. Cecile, who lives in Cranston RI, said “everything went very smoothly. The first man who came, Chris, was very nice and spent about 2 hours checking out the entire house.” Chris recommended installing insulation in the cellar and ceilings, sealing the A/C ducts, and filling the exterior walls with blown-in insulation. Cecile thought about his recommendations for a few weeks, and decided to move forward with the work after she spoke to a neighbor who insulated his house and loved the results. “When they came back, everybody was very polite. They answered all my questions, and they were careful not to get the house dirty.”

I felt like there was always something raw about this house. I really think this work helped. It seems like my house is more comfortable now.”
